Fall Into Reading

Katrina from Callapidder Days is hosting the Fall Into Reading Challenge. Sounds like fun - I'm in!

So, I've compiled a list of books that I'm all set to dig into and read. I'm not reading them in any particular order. But, I know that I'll be starting with Green, by Ted Dekker, because it's already sitting on my nightstand.

  • Green, by Ted Dekker
  • What in the World Is Going On? 10 Prophetic Clues You Cannot Afford to Ignore, by David Jeremiah
  • Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo
  • Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers
  • Safely Home, by Randy Alcorn
  • Atlantis Found, by Clive Cussler
  • Farraday Road, by Ace Colins
  • The Christmas Sweater, by Glenn Beck

Now the fun part begins... reading and checking out what others are reading.

  1. I'm headed to the library right now to pick up Redeeming Love! It's on my Fall Challenge list and I just got a notice saying it was ready for me to pick up. Someone else told me about the Christmas Sweater. I heard it was good. Happy Reading!

  2. Green is sitting on my bookshelf, but I didn't put it on my list...maybe it'll be my reward if/when I make it through my other books. :)

Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading '09!

  3. I'm seeing a lot of Ted Dekker and thinking that would be good for my almost 15yr old heavy reader. I like Francine Rivers and I need a Christmas one, so maybe I'll just borrow your Christmas Sweater...
    Happy Reading...

  4. Thanks for the comments.

I've enjoyed Ted Dekker's books for awhile now, and the Circle Trilogy has always been my favorite series from him. So, I'm really excited to read Green. I guess that's why I'm reading it first.

I'm also looking forward to the Francine Rivers book, especially since several of my friends have highly recommended it to me.

Christmas Sweater will be my treat for getting through the rest of the books on my list:)

  11. I haven't read anything by Clive Cussler in a long time, it might be time to revisit the older books. Good luck with the challenge!

  12. Thanks!

I haven't read one of his books in quite a while either, but have always enjoyed them. So, I thought it was time to pull one out that I haven't read yet.

I have always enjoyed how history is woven into the storylines and the cameo appearances by Cussler as himself in his books (at least in the ones I've already read).

  13. Hi Leigh Ann,
    Looks like some good books.
Every time I go to the book store me eyes find:
    `Redeeming Love`, by Francine Rivers
But, I always get a different book, if any.
Her book covers (yes I judge a book by it's cover..LOL)
    Don't appeal to me.
But, I do wonder if I'm missing something.
I usually won't by a book if I don't find it appealing. My Bad!
    Enjoy Reading,
    Joyful

  14. Thanks.

I'm not blown away by her cover art either, and it doesn't seem to have as much action in it as I like. But, I've had the book sitting on the self, staring at me long enough. Time to read it and see why everyone has told me it is so good.
